My name is Jenny Colebrook. My childhood was spent in Okaihau and I attended Okaihau Primary School and Okaihau College. I then spent three years at North Shore Teachers College before moving back to begin my teaching career at Kaikohe East School. During my teaching career I have also taught at Kaikohe Intermediate, Northland College, and Opononi Area school before coming to Waima Kura. I taught at Waima Kura for 6 years before being appointed as Principal in 2006. I consider myself very fortunate to be working with the students and their whanau in this community.

Believing in our students and effectively involving them in learning will ensure educational success. It takes a community to raise a child. Together we can make a difference in the lives of our students.
